Introduction

Welcome to the DataUnison eBay Research API. The goal of the DataUnison eBay Research API is to allow developers to create data driven applications for the eBay Marketplace as well as for personal use. We've made available a Sandbox development area which is free to signup for, make API calls in and allows you to develope and entire application before having to signup and become certified.

Setup a Sandbox Account

Your first step toward accessing the Research API is to create a Sandbox account. It's free to signup and has full functionality of the Research API. Upon signup you'll be sent an email with your three API tokens and required information.

  • Create Sandbox Account
  • Creating your first application

To create your first application you can either use our sample code or you must have an understanding of XML to be able to develop in your programming language of choice. If you are creating a web application, you will need to upload the PHP sample code to your web server and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.

Any and all API calls should be posted to http://api.dataunison.com.

    Getting your application certified

Once you have done all the development you need to launch your application and you wish to move into the production environment you can follow the certification steps in your members area. There is a $150 certification fee for the Basic and Enterprise API packages.

    Launching your product

Once your product has passed certification, you will be given production API keys which will allow you to access the full 90 day history of the Research API and the selected eBay site according the the API package chosen.
